Race To Slow The Pace

The third annual Race to Slow the Pace 5K & 10K, presented in partnership with the John and Jeani Ferrari Family Foundation, to be held at Bokisch Vineyards in Lodi, CA is a trail run to connect people with nature, the environment and family farms that feed them, while furthering California Farmland Trust’s mission. Our goal is to foster a connection to the land and why we must slow the pace of development and protect farmland. Runners will weave their way through the scenic vineyard at Bokisch while taking in the vines, the habitat, and the value of open space that farmland provides. Your participation in the run connects you to the local community and demonstrates your support of agriculture.  This is a family, stroller, and pet-friendly event designed to get you out into the beauty of Lodi and a working vineyard.

Course: This trail run course includes navigating uneven, dirt terrain with slight hills through a working vineyard.

Fees: Individual in-person participation, either 5k or 10k will include a custom race bib, finisher medal, paella brunch, glass of wine (for participants over 21 years old), and signature race swag.

$65 Regular Registration fee (July 1 through September 16)
$75 Race Day fee

Can’t make it to Bokisch Vineyards on September 17? No problem! Support the cause by participating virtually. By registering virtually, you can support the event and receive a custom race bib, finisher medal, and signature race swag. You pick the time and location that best suits you to complete your 5k or 10k run or walk. Virtual race participants will not be timed or receive paella brunch and wine.

We are seeking volunteers to help on Race Day. If you would like to volunteer, please select the register button and complete the registration by selecting the Volunteer category. There is no charge to volunteer and all volunteers will receive a t-shirt.
