40-Year Vintage Port Tasting at St. Amant Winery

Join winemaker Stuart Spencer for a guided 40-year retrospective Vintage Port tasting in the cellars at St. Amant. Stuart’s father, Tim Spencer, pioneered the use of Portuguese grape varieties in crafting table and port-styled wines. He planted five traditional Douro Valley varieties in 1980 and released his first wine in 1981. Stuart will dig through the family’s personal library and select six different vintages to present. The class will delve into the history of traditional Port, St. Amant’s vision and style for these unique varieties and provide the guests the opportunity to taste a piece of history. $50/person.
