Micke Grove Zoo
The Details
Nestled in the heart of Micke Grove Regional Park, just one mile west of Highway 99 on Armstrong Road in Lodi, the Micke Grove Zoo has been a sanctuary for diverse wildlife since its founding in 1955. The zoo hosts an array of native and exotic animals from across the globe, including special status species such as the golden eagle, cotton-top tamarin, black-and-white ruffed lemur, and Waldrapp ibis.
Visitors are invited to explore captivating exhibits that transport them to exotic locales, such as the Tropical Forest Canopy, where green iguanas and Prevost’s squirrels reside, and the Island Lost in Time, showcasing Madagascar’s lemurs, geckos, cockroaches, and radiated tortoises. Among the zoo’s most intriguing residents are the elusive fossa, a playful bobcat, and a magnificent snow leopard. Beyond these wonders, Micke Grove Zoo offers a variety of engaging experiences, including special events, family programs, zoo camps, and award-winning birthday parties for children aged 4 to 10.
