Nestled in the heart of Lodi, Lodi Lake Park is a premier destination for outdoor enthusiasts, families, and nature lovers. Things to Do at Lodi Lake Park:
Water Activities
- Kayaking & Paddleboarding – Explore the calm waters of Lodi Lake and the Mokelumne River with a rented kayak or paddleboard. Rentals are available seasonally at the Boathouse.
- Fishing – Cast a line from the shore or venture onto the river in a small boat to try your luck at catching bass, catfish, and other local species.
- Swimming – The park features a large sandy beach area open during the summer months (12:30 pm – 6:00 pm), offering a refreshing way to cool off.
Trails & Wildlife Viewing
- Lodi Lake Nature Trail – Enjoy a peaceful stroll along this scenic 1-mile loop trail, winding through the riparian habitat of the Mokelumne River.

Park Hours & Admission
- General Park Hours: Open daily from sunrise to sunset.
- Entry Fee: A $5 daily parking fee is collected for vehicle entry into Lodi Lake Park. A self-serve pay station is available directly north of the entry gate if there’s no gate attendant.
- Annual Parking Pass: Frequent visitors can purchase a $50 annual vehicle pass to hang from their vehicle’s rear-view mirror. Passes can be purchased at the PRCS main office, 230 W. Elm Street, Monday-Thursday and every other Friday, 8am-5pm, or at the Lodi Lake front gate when staff are present.
Know Before You Go
- Pet Policy: Dogs are allowed on the west trail of Lodi Lake Park and the roadway and parking lot of Lodi Lake Park; leashes are required (6 feet or less). Dogs are not allowed on grass areas within the park.
- Boat Rentals: Available seasonally; check with the local rental provider: The Boathouse.
- Alcohol Policy: Alcohol is allowed with a reservation. Some parks in the City of Lodi have been designated as no alcohol and are posted as such. No keg beer allowed – no glass containers.
