Take A Sip Of Lodi, California’s Sparkling Wines!

According to Statista.com, sparkling wine sales in the United States grew 8.8 percent overall, and sales of domestic sparkling wine rose 5.3 percent last year.

Lodi Vintners, with an incredibly diverse palette of grape varieties at their disposal, are poised to capitalize on the sparkling wine growth trend.

Let’s being with Lodi’s only traditional method sparkling wine winery – LVVR Sparkling Cellars. They currently offer four traditional sparkling wines, including Blanc de Blanc, Brut, Rosé and Demi-Sec styles of sparkling wines crafted from Lodi grown Viognier and Chardonnay (plus Alicante Bouschet for the Rosé).

Other Lodi wineries recently releasing their first sparkling wines, crafted using the traditional method include the Acquiesce Winery‘s Sparkling Grenache Blanc, and Riaza Wines’ Sparkling Verdejo, both drier Brut style wines.

Lodi wineries offering a sweeter twist on classic style sparkling wines include Durst Winery & Estate and Sorelle Winery, while Abundance Vineyards and Weibel Family Winery have both classic and flavored sparkling wines.

According to the Stockton Record, other Lodi wineries with plans to release sparkling wines this year include Estate Crush which plans to release a sparkling Cinsault Rosé and a sparkling Sauvignon Blanc this month.  Later this year Klinker Brick Winery has plans to release a non-vintage Rosé and Jeremy Wine Company which will release a sparkling Grenache.

There are more choices of Lodi sparkling wine than ever. It’s time to add some sparkle to your next wine tasting trip to Lodi Wine Country.
