Instead of issuing a rebate check, Visit Lodi pays approved local vendors directly, so your incentive becomes wine country moments, not paperwork.
Incentive amounts
Eligible room nights are Sunday–Thursday only. Friday and Saturday room nights do not count toward incentive.

What is Local Vendor Credit?
This program provides a credit paid directly to approved Lodi-area vendors to upgrade your meeting experience. It’s designed to keep the benefit in Lodi, while making planning easier.
Examples of eligible uses:
- Local wine purchase for a hosted function (welcome reception, networking hour, awards toast)
- Winery-hosted experiences (tasting add-ons, winemaker Q&A, educational pours)
- Transportation (shuttles between hotels, downtown, and winery venues)
- Food-and-break upgrades (coffee, pastries, charcuterie, dessert, pairing bites)
- Select event enhancements sourced through approved local partners
How wine works (plain-English):
Credit may be applied to local wine purchased for an event function when purchased through an approved, properly licensed vendor and invoiced for your program.
Not eligible (typical):
- Cash paid to an individual planner or attendee
- Purchases not supported by an itemized invoice from an approved vendor
- Expenses outside event dates/location or unrelated to the meeting functions
Who qualifies
Your event may qualify if it meets all of the following:
- Event takes place in Lodi (and contracted lodging is within the program footprint)
- At least 50 total paid room nights (Sunday–Thursday nights are eligible for incentive)
- At least 25 rooms on peak night (your highest single-night pickup)
- Room nights are picked up within the official group block, verified by participating hotel(s)
- Visit Lodi is involved before contracts are signed and before incentive funds are committed
- Submit your request at least 30 days prior to arrival (earlier is better)
- New-to-Lodi business: The meeting/event must be new to Lodi and must not have been hosted in Lodi within the past three (3) years (based on meeting dates)
Common exclusions:
- Weddings, reunions, and purely social events
- Events already under contract prior to contacting Visit Lodi
- Room nights booked outside the official block (third-party channels typically cannot be counted)
- Incentive availability is subject to program funds and confirmation
- The event has been hosted in Lodi the within the past (3) years
How it works
1. Share your dates + estimated rooms
Send your event details and expected Sunday–Thursday room nights.
2. We confirm eligibility and reserve incentive funds (if available)
You’ll receive a written confirmation outlining the maximum eligible credit.
3. You meet in Lodi, and room nights are verified
After the event, participating hotel(s) provide a pickup report.
4. Choose your vendors and we pay them directly
Visit Lodi pays approved vendors based on itemized invoices, up to the verified credit amount.
Typical timing: net-15 after verification and invoice receipt.

- Wineries and tasting venues
- Caterers and restaurants
- Transportation providers
- Event rental and production partners
- Local makers (select items tied to meeting functions)

Do Friday and Saturday room nights count?
No. Incentive is based on Sunday–Thursday actualized room nights only.
What is a “room night”?
One paid guest room occupied for one night, verified after the event.
What does “25 rooms on peak” mean?
Your highest single-night pickup must reach 25 rooms (across participating hotel(s), if applicable).
Can we split the block across multiple hotels
Yes. We’ll confirm the tracking method during the eligibility review.
Can the credit be used for wine?
Yes, when it’s tied to an event function and purchased through an approved, properly licensed vendor with an itemized invoice.
Is the incentive guaranteed?
Incentive availability is subject to program funds and written confirmation by Visit Lodi.
