Michael David Winery is a family-owned, sixth-generation winery in Lodi that blends bold, award-winning wines with memorable experiences. Guests can enjoy casual tastings or reserve a seated spot by the water, complete with a dedicated server, full bistro menu, and bottles available to enjoy on-site. The winery is kid-friendly, featuring a playground, and dog-friendly as well. All wines are sustainably grown under the Lodi Rules program, offering visitors not just a pour, but a story—whether sipping Freakshow, Misfits & Mavens, or one of the classic varietals.

History

Rooted in Lodi since the 1860s, the Phillips family began as a roadside fruit stand before opening their bonded winery in 1984. Fifth-generation grape growers Michael and David Phillips transformed the family’s farming legacy into a bold, unconventional wine brand. Today, the sixth generation continues the family tradition, combining sustainable farming practices with a playful spirit and a deep connection to the land and community.

Wine Tasting: Daily, 10:00am – 5:00pm (last pour 4:30pm)
Walk-ins welcome for groups of 6 or fewer. Reservations are highly recommended for Groups of 7+

Outdoor Bistro & Bottle Service: Fri – Sun, 11:00am – 4:30pm (Mar – Nov)
Available on a walk-in basis.

Farm Café: Daily, 8:00am – 3:00pm
