Macchia Winery
Overview
Macchia is family-owned and operated winery established in the Lodi Appellation in 2001. In Italian, Macchia means “the spot,” and in Lodi, Macchia Winery has become known as the spot for wine enthusiasts seeking small-lot, high-quality wines at approachable prices.
Winemaker Jonathan McMahan is dedicated to crafting exceptional wines, with a focus on Old Vine Zinfandel, an iconic Lodi varietal often overlooked beyond the region. Macchia produces multiple Zinfandels, each expressing its own distinct character and flavor profile. Their portfolio also includes thoughtfully crafted Italian and French varietals, including Sangiovese, Barbera, Syrah, and French Colombard. All of their wines are vegan and gluten-free.
Macchia is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last tasting at 4:30. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are recommended on weekends.
Groups larger than 8, party buses, or limousines require reservations. Give Macchia a call at 209-333-2600 or email them at Info@MacchiaWines.com, so they can be ready for you. The last reservation slot is at 3:30 p.m.
