Cosumnes River Preserve with Blossom Road Loop
Overview
Cruise a beloved stretch of road where cyclists roll past shady canopies, vineyards, and olive orchards on the way to the serene Cosumnes River Preserve. It’s the kind of ride that makes you forget your inbox exists.
The Preserve protects thousands of acres of wetlands and surrounding uplands, all managed to support native wildlife and restore critical habitat. Birders, this is your moment. Pack the binoculars and prepare for some serious spotting.
A quick heads-up: bikes are not permitted on the Preserve trails, so plan to park and explore on foot once you arrive.
Along the way, you can build in a few worthwhile pauses. Refuel at Panaderia Primo’s, sample wine, vinegar, and olive oil at Cosumnes River Farm, or take a nature break at the Preserve itself. It’s a choose-your-own-adventure kind of ride, with better snacks.
